There is a 3 year expiration on the kits that we sell. In reality, the battery (which is the limiting factor) has a shelf life of 5 years, so the 3 years are mostly set to be on the safer side of things.
If the battery were to run out (highly unlikely if you store the device properly) then we would be happy send you a new one free of charge.
